Nope, maritime security is a different field entirely. But from my limited knowledge of that incident the team was unarmed. Ships and crews are nearly always returned pending succesful ransom payments, so it is in the "pirates" interests to ensure they are unharmed for the most part, as to the treatment that would be meted out to western security personnel who are not considered a part of the ransom demands..... can you blame them?
