Bernard Goldberg says that he's not surprised that there was excess coverage on the tragic death of Michael Jackson. "We live in a country that celebrates celebrity... We talk about the television being the boob tube. What does that make everybody who tunes into this stuff?"

He adds that he hopes Gov. Mark Sanford has a good alibi for where he was when the King of Pop died.

  • No one complained when the media had a feeding frenzy on MJ during his trial, why are they having hiccups about the extensive coverage of his death??? I can't understand the double standard.

  • So fox says MJ has to much coverage and then proceed with a seven minute segment.

  • u suck michael forever we all love u mj

  • o come on these guys were just here to demean mj/

    jealous of his success.

  • goddamn bernie goldberg is so damn UGLY!!!

  • im sure someone would like to blow his mother up

  • no matter how hard these people try they will never knock michael jackson down who cares about iran i sure as hell dont

  • i am a liberal or at least on most issues and i think that bernie goldberg is absolutely right for calling the media circus over michael jackson and he viewers "boobs".

  • It has nothing to do with black or white - it has everything to do with the media's coverage of his death. Black people are free to mourn him all they want and if they loved him there is no problem with that (he was a great entertainer), but the media coverage was way overblown. With North Korea shooting off missles and Iran close to getting the bomb, I hardly think Jackson's death should trump those stories. Like Goldberg said, "We live in the United States of Infotainment".

  • Well evendently they don't. I'm not saying their right but that's how it is.

  • I meant up until the economy collapsed the average person didn't care about economics. If I'm wrong please correct me.
