SELENA'S POV
I walk to school with Demi and her new boyfriend, Joe. That awkward moment when you don't know what to do when you're a third wheel- Yeah, I totally got that moment. To break the awkwardness, I said, "Wow, cold... Isn't it?" Demi says, "Yeah a little bit," She bit her lip and look at Joe. Joe replied and said, "Aww, you cold?" He took off his leather jacket and gave it to Demi. He made sure she was comfortable. I see Miley, finally it won'y be awkward. "MILEY!" I say waving to her; signaling her to come here and walk with me, Demi, and Joe. Miley then sees and skips over to us.
"Finally," I whisper with a breath.
"Finally what?" Miley says, curiously.
"NOTHIN'!" I say without thought.
"Hey Selly, I'm sleeping over your house tonight," Demi said. Yeah, it seems rude, but that's what best friends do! [A.N. : Well, that's what me and my best friend do.. xD]
"Kay kay! Mile, wanna come?" I said bobbing my head over to Miley.
"Sure! Why not!"

*AT SCHOOL*

I'm walking with Ariana [A.N. : ARIANA GRANDE] to first period as I see Justin. "Ariana, walk walk walk!" I push her back faster and I power walk before he gets here. I look down at my shoes and walk faster. I look back at him and see he's looking at me and Ariana, power walking; he is too. Ariana says, "Sel, SEL, SEL SEL SEL! Stop! You're gonna put burn marks on my shoes!" She stops me and turns and keeps walking. I was left alone. "Selena!" Justin says calling out to me. 'Great,' I thought, and walk toward Justin, otherwise known as That Guy I Like. "Hey," I say casually. "Hey," He says smiling, then hugs me. I hug back. It didn't feel right, no matter how much I wanted it to last.

"What's wrong?" He says trying to look at my hidden face. Justin clears out the strands of hair out of my face and places them behind my ear.

"Nothing," I try to stay away from Justin's hand. I move my head further and further from him.

"Something's wrong," He grips my right arm as I gasp and I look at his hand. I look up at his face and then I look down.

"Nothing's wrong Justin," I say crossing my arms as he lost his grasp.
"Selena, tell me." He takes my hands and holds them. I look down at our hands and I look up at his face. I can't take it anymore. I say, "Nothing. Please," I grab onto his hands for a mere second then let go.

I walk away and Ariana is there at the corner saying, "What the heck are you doing!?" Ariana punches my arm.
"OW!" I say instantly grabbing my arm. "Jeez. :P And I'm not doing anything! I know what I'm doing, and it's what I wanna do. I don't wanna be with Justin." I hear Justin's footsteps as I turn around. I gasp at the sight; Justin crossing his arms, standing and taking what I just said. My feelings for him were a secret. Justin says, "Selena, I get it. You don't wanna be together..." He walks away and I have to chase after him. "No, Justin wait!" I walk up to him. "I love you as a friend, but nothing more." I hug him and leave him a kiss on the cheek. I walk to first period, where he's in my class. And I sit next to him.

Miss Williams says, "Okay, tests are passed out, quiet," She is passing out the tests. I look in my backpack for a pencil. GAWD! I forgot my pencils at Miley's house.. Time to ask. I gulp and turn to Justin. "Hey, uhm. Do you have a pencil?" I ask Justin.
"Uh, sure. Here." He hands me a pencil. For about a second our hands touch for me to grab the pencil.
"Thanks." It was so awkward, you can actually taste it when you breath in and out. Tastes gross.

--AFTER CLASS

Justin storms out the door and I say, "Justin wait!" I grab his jacket and I spin him around.
"What?"
I can't believe I took courage to do this.. Leaning in, I closed my eyes slowly and took little breaths. I felt his lips against mine. A slow, gentle kiss.
