HowTheWorldWorks is a stupid conservative political puppet! Glad to see that one of the most popular Atheists on youtube supports environmentalism and Marxism! Someone has to bring some logic to the videos of that douche bag and discredit his propaganda for the good of the audience who is watching him! We should, though, work on finding new fuel sources to eliminate our dependence on oil anyway, seeing as while it IS actually a renewable resource it's renew time takes hundreds and thousands of years... Coal, oil, and Natural Gas are fossil fuels which are the result of the decomposition of life. We've found a new one called Bio-desiel(SP) which can be created faster but it's not yet cost effective.

TAA is well a pretty nice sounding board for ideas. Here's a thought though TAA. As technology becomes cheaper the ability to get the harder to reach oil will become cheaper. Oil is expensive because not only do we use it as a fuel, it's used in manufacturing. Plastic is made from Petroleum (We're working on making Plastic from corn oil now) and also it's traded on the Stock Exchange as a commodity. So a lot of it's price comes from speculation on it's value, like any commodity.

@gulbirk: It wasn't meant as a joke because I am a radical leftist myself, so it would be really dump from my side to ironize Marxism. TJ actually has two videos about the economy in which he criticizes the free market system and openly supports a Marxist alternative. Just search on youtube the following sentence: "Free market capitalism fails". If you do it, you'll find the videos I was refering to. Have a good day!
