Mushroom Hill Zone from Sonic & Knuckles recreated in widescreen 3D. This is just a video, and not a playable game. It was animated over an actual gameplay video of S&K that I recorded. It was designed as a graphical demo to see how well classic Sonic gameplay and level design would adapt to 2.5D.

This was made over the course of about 2-3 weeks from scratch inbetween other work (excluding render times, which were fairly short anyway).

Created with 3DS Max and composited in Adobe After Effects.

It's not a game, read the description.

What a great video. Is it a demo of this to play anywhere?

I wasn't talking about the 3DS. I was stating a possibility for a superior system.

Sonic Team didn't make Sonic Generations for the 3DS, that was Dimps

the things that really bug me is the fact that sonic fans aren't really sonic fans. They're just a bunch of whiny complaining criticizers who take a good sonic game like generations or heroes or etc. and say stupid shit to sound like they're smart. I wasn't aware of sonic during the classic era of the late 90's cause I was still a toddler (even though my first sonic game was Sonic 2), and I found out about sonic during the late part of the dreamcast era so maybe I shouldn't be talking.

You see, Sonic Team? This is how you remake a stage.
