Yesterday I was waiting for the elevator in my building and trying to identify the language two men were speaking. It was French! I took French in HS and one semester in college. I could identify one word: pourquois (sp?). They were speaking so fast. When the elevator arrived, I asked (in English, naturalment) if they were speaking French. They both said yes, and I noticed they had perfect American English lucidity as we bid goodbye a few floors up. "Quelle damage," about my memory/ability.
Well, my French is not realy good. Au contraire. :)
In fact, it is completely non-existent. But as this is a slice of your Wednesday, I sure loved it, no matter how tiny and incomprehensible it is.

It does sound beautiful though, I must add.
