I've been a commercial technician for over 25 years at a leading Maytag Distributorship. I have developed a tool that solves the High Efficiency Commercial and Neptune Residential Washer bearing problem. No more replacing the outer tub! The TonyTool will do the job for you in less than an hour, for less that $50 in parts. This tool works on 90% of the bearing and seal replacement jobs your company will face. Rugged! This tool is rugged and made of chromotized steel for durability. It also has an optional knockout plunger for those hard to get out bearings. Cost Effective! The TonyTool costs $379.00 and comes complete with its own carrying case and pictorial instructions. Seal Kit The seal kit is $69.95 and comes complete with old and new seal and two bearings. • Where else can u get a seal?

  • the seal part nu is 12002022 it is a whirlpool /maytag part can only get thru parts house of appliance places like a.p. wagner or off the web

  • o.k. no problem you get a metal chisel with a flat edge on it and a hammer and hit it .The hit breaks it in half usually its really brittle from the heat of the bad bearing going bad .

  • @sprucewood57 incredibly annoying!!!!

  • You still have to remove the inner tub...In most cases not worth the labor repairs..

  • I stand corrected, this is limited to Maytag Neptune washer only.

  • ....Continuation from previous post......I doubt leaving the "rear tub" in the machine would prove t be an "easy" solution, especially with the CLIP style fasteners used to lock the outer tubs together. Please Post me a video of That, then i will be convinced!

  • Looks like a great tool, very quick to use. The one thing i don't understand is that to remove the bearing, the inner drum needs to also be removed. How will this save me time, when i get the whole tub assembly out of any machine and replaced in an hour and a half with assistance needed only for the heavy lifting?

  • Continuation from my previouscomment--It takes a while (WD40 soak, a LITTLE heat from a propane torch--just enough to break that heat bond when the bearing came apart) but they will come out!!!

  • You can get the "bearing shell" that's left stuck in the outer tub by grinding a large thick washer that will just fit past that collar (I grind the round washer into an oblong shape) and then use a similar device that Tony is showing to pull/prise it out. Both my small and large (or inner and outer) stuck bearings had disintegrated and left just their outer shells stuck in the housing.
