Larry Wessels, director of Christian Answers of Austin, Texas/ Christian Debater (YouTube channel CANSWERSTV) & Steve Morrison, Ph.D, director of Research for Christian Answers (Steve is the webmaster for all 3 of our websites: BIBLEQUERY.ORG, HISTORYCART.COM & MUSLIMHOPE.COM) debate two official representatives of the "Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity" alias Sun Myung Moon's "Unification Church." Rev. Moon, who was born in Korea in 1920, wrote a book called "The Divine Principle" in which he claimed Jesus was a failure because he got himself crucified instead of getting married & having kids, the cross was "Satan's victory not God's," the Holy Spirit is a female spirit, the Trinity is false, Rev. Moon is "God's Messenger" & Messiah, that Jesus cannot save us physically, that Jesus is not God in the flesh, that Jesus Christ is not coming back literally, & on the list goes. Moonies call Moon "greater than Jesus" & "Lord of the Second Advent."
This debate is a direct result of a challenge made by the Unification Church to Christian Answers of Austin, Texas/ Christian Debater for a televised debate. Christian Answers had aired a four hour series on Austin's Public Access Channel going out to 300,000 households in the Austin, Texas & surrounding areas. The series was entitled, "Moonstruck" and covered the following topics: "Rev. Moon's "Church" #1- History & Teachings of Moon's Cult," "Rev. Moon's "Church" #2- Divine Principle or Satanic Paradigm," "Rev. Moon's "Church" #3- Moon's god Versus the Triune God," & "Rev. Moon's "Church" #4- Semantic Deception- Moon is Not the Son." This entire series is currently posted on YOUTUBE (type "LARRY WESSELS MOONSTRUCK" in the YOUTUBE search box & an array of videos will come up). Moonies are particularly active around centers of higher learning such as universities and colleges. Austin has many such institutions so this series was helpful in reaching the many students attending there by way of the public access television channel.
This is part 10 in a series of 10. Mark Gunning of Dayspring Fellowship of Austin, Texas (www.dayspringchapel.org) is the moderator.

  • Your threats with hell are not very convincing to me, rather offputting.

You better study the theology of Rev Moon. And then you will see that his theology is by far more rational then the theology in which YOU believe.

You just throw Bible verses at Rev Moon and his followers, as they did with Jesus 2000 years ago. But he was the Messiah nevertheless, no matter how much they tried to prove him wrong, based on the scriptures.

    They were only fooling themselves.

  • @brunoklotz You prove by what you say that you don't know who Jesus of the Bible is & thus you prove that you're only fooling yourself. It's amazing to hear you talk about Jesus but you deny everything the Bible says about him All you care about is a false prophet from Korea who teaches in MASTER SPEAKS, "If you tell a lie to make someone better, that is not sin ... Even God tells lies very often" (1973, pp. 7-8). The Bible says God CANNOT LIE (Hebrews 6:18) but your Moon believes in lying!

  • Dear CAnswersTV,

"Moonism is dangerous since it leads its followers to hellfire".

Well, I doubt that pracitising true love, as Rev Moon just as Jesus teach, leads to hellfire.

If all those who practice true love go to hell, then hell must be a wonderful place.

  • @brunoklotz Because you deny the living God of the Bible by placing your faith in Moon instead you, unless you repent of this evil idolatry, will be consigned to the "Lake of Fire" with all the other idolators (Revelation 19:20, 20:14-15, Romans 2:5-9, Mark 9:43-48, Matthew 12:31-32, Luke 16:24, Matthew 13:41-42 & many more). Jesus described hell as Hell Fire & "Furnace of Fire" (Matthew 5:22, Matthew 13:42,50). Hell is NOT wonderful! See our HELL videos on YOUTUBE; Moon will take you there.

  • Regarding Rev Moon again, it is difficult to prove. But still one can study his words, his theology, and the good works his

movement is doing all over the world. And one can pray and have an open mind.

Rev Moon is God in the flesh? Well, we all were created to express God, His heart and love in this world. Rev Moon has inherited the love of God, just as Jesus did. Both express God fully. But we ALL are supposed to become like that.

  • @brunoklotz We've studied Moon's words & have found him to be what the Bible calls an anti-Christ & a false prophet (1 John 4:1-6, 2 John 7-11 for starters). A false prophet is someone who brings a different message of the Biblical Gospel than what was taught by the Biblical writers (Galatians 1:6-9) & is condemned to eternal destruction (2 Thessalonians 1:7-12). Jesus is God in the Flesh, 2nd Person of the Trinity (John 1:1-14, 5:18, 5:23, 8:58, 20:28), Universe Creator (Colossians 1:12-22).

  • @brunoklotz Thanks for replying to these "important questions" which they are. Your answers to these questions only prove that you have a "blind faith" in Rev Moon & none in the God of the Bible Who is the Blessed Holy Trinity (Father, Son - Jesus Christ, & the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:19). The God of the Bible & your God (Moon) are completely different & have nothing to do with each other (Deuteronomy 5:6-10). Paul says proof of God;s existence is obvious (Romans 1:18-32). Moon is condemned.

  • Dear CAnswers TV,

Thanks for asking important questions. In the religious or spiritual realm it is difficult to prove things.

If someone finds God in his life he may be very convinced, but still cannot prove Gods existance to another

person. Each one has to search for God on his or her own.

It is the same with Jesus. I am convinced that he was the Messiah, as all Christians are, but to prove such is difficult.

  • @HFMOG Unfortunately, a far more dangerous cult is Islam in the sense of pure physical & spiritual violence. Needless to say, although Islam is a world religion it is still predicated on a cultic reverance for one man named Muhammad, much like Unification Church theology is built on Rev Moon. Moonism is dangerous since it leads its followers to hellfire but Islam is dangerous not only for the same reason but also for the physical violence they inflict on others in the name of Islamic Jihad.
