  • Now this is real Samurai swordsman ship. Im not dising kendo but these men could destory a kendo figther with one attack or kata.

  • Ah, as far as I know he's right. Kendo (in the common usage of the word) is a sport, kenjutsu is an art derived from lethal combat.

There is a serious difference. Which one is "better" depends on your goals.

  • Kendo has real sparring experience. Their movements are more efficient. But they have little to no cutting experience and rarely handle real swords. Thus why their strikes and blocks may appear flimsy and weak, but it also leaves them less exposed.

  • @demsachewl Sorry, I may have misunderstood. Kenjutsu is not a branch OF Ninjutsu, but Ninjutsu does practice Kenjutsu yes, broad term as mentioned, an yes Kendo means way of the sword in term

  • @demsachewl Kenjutsu is not a branch of Ninjutsu , its a broad term which covers sword techniques in general

  • @lanteen1822 kenjutsu (which means sword techniques) is a branch of ninjutsu (which means ninja techniques). dunno what kendo (way of the sword?) is.

  • I know that they are just showing off technique, but I'd like to see them practice full speed like ARMA, and see what that yields.

  • Even though I'm very skeptic about japanese swordfighting, I find this quite impressive. I'd love to see a sparring between those two swordsmen.

  • the dim glow lighting the audience makes heads look like distant city lights.

  • Whether it be thought of as kendo or thought of a kenjutsu, the main goal is to learn how to defend, counter, and strike while utilizing a blade. Guns are too depended. I can kill 20 people while a gun could kill 17 before running out of its clip. The old ways were indeed better, yet we call them primitive. Soon, modern day will call our ways primitive. We as humans evolve and forget the past, when we should impower it. The only difference between a marksman and a samurai, is there spirit.

  • @bebbo170993 It is a juttle. Japanese police would use these to block a sword, and in the little nook it has, would catch it, and then continue to disarm the person.

  • @bebbo170993 wtf? a Wakizashi is the length of a katana with an exaggerated curve <.<
