This surgery is very successful compared to Lasik, people. With this surgey they can go in and correct any mistake and have a positive and magnficent outcome unlike Lasik where you risk losing your eyesight and its quality. A few family members of mine had this ICL done to them and have all been completely satisfied and more! :) I got a consultation for this as I am not a candidate of Lasik and in a year I can get this done :)

@Dakashizzlenizzle I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 37 now, when I was a young kid, I had warts in my throat.. Twice! (age 6-7 years) About the same time, I had to start wearing glasses. So, I'm paranoid of needles, and VERY paranoid of my eyes, and a weak stomache to boot.. I watched the whole thing, and it does bother me, but this is a VERY good video, A+ all the way!! If I could afford to fly out to LA, I'd have him perform the surgury, but I can't.. :-(

Hi Uday!
good job,
I want to know about your technique for per-op sugical PI, I have tried it , but had to extend the paracentesis to complete it. Any surgical video/ pearls from you would be of immense help.
Thanks in advance
Amit

You are the doctors' doctor. Other doctors choose you to perform surgery on their own family and on themselves. You are an amazing doctor. Thank you

i barely have the stomach to watch this, even touching my own eye scares me, but it looks awesome being able to have permanent contacts!

the patients do NOT feel the procedure. The eye is completely asleep and numbed. The patients then recover vision quickly after the surgery. There are no eye patches needed.

What about incidence of pupillary block glaucoma in these patients? do you have any data? have you had patients who developed one after this procedure? great videos! Thanks for sharing them.

No pupillary block or other related issues since there are two small peripheral laser iridotomies for maximum safety.

Would love for you to show a video of how the lens is folded. I'm surgical scrub in southeast Alabama and i'm always looking to improve my skills. Your surgical technique is flawless. Very Impressive ! What are the names of the cannulas you had made and can they be purchased from Storz.

You can get these instruments by contacting Chuck Hess at Storz -- ask for the Devgan ICL Instruments. The key to the 'no touch' method is primarily the surgeon's technique and secondariy the lens loading. ***To my general public viewers: Note that the above comment was made by an experienced surgical scrub technician who routinely does eye surgical cases!*** Thank you for the kinds words!
