Surviving Sarajevo

I took an IAESTE- technical experience exchange spot 2 years ago to go to Sarajevo. Career wise it was the best option for me, but my parents and friends were worried. Is it safe?

I arrived to Bosnia and Herzegovina with the train from Italy - in one piece. On the way I saw horses plowing the land, and felt like I was going to another time and place.

As I got used to the grenade holes on the streets and buildings I noticed the wonderful people living in this country, the amazing food, the stunning untouched nature and the vast multiculturality!

I fell in love with Sarajevo!
