  • Amazing - trying to get my stuff in a pack... I think that divider idea is a pretty cool space saver - eliminating the need for cases for all those bigger parts -- the SB900's case is stupidly big (long). Love those 5001B Manfrotto tripods. What model is your Kelty pack?

  • yah, i'm a big fan of carrying camera gear around in non-camera-bag-looking bags.

the pack is a kelty redwing 3100, and the divider set is from pelican, model 1515.

  • @V4UVideoForYou: huh?

@Stieglitzwouldloveit: hah, not quite. I'd guess closer to 50-60 pounds at most.

  • thanks, man.

funny you should ask about the 900s; i was just talking about them with a friend (who has 2) last night.

my personal take - they're awesome if you're really into the CLS system. if you've got an SU-800, an SB-800 or two, or even a couple of 600s, you can do some really cool stuff.

but if you need lots of power and/or good recycle times (as I'm seeming to more and more these days), bigger strobes seem to be the way to go.

my next strobe will prolly be an Alien Bee.

    good luck!

  • dude, way.
