I could not find any information on running a square baler with a Kioti DK 45 SE HST so I borrowed a John Deere 622 and made my own video. The tractor is just about maxed out running the baler but if it is pulled slowly it runs fine. The HST is nice for backing up and catching the straw that was missed. This tractor has a FEL that was removed for baling. Feel free to leave positive comments.

  • Are you running it at 540 rpm? it looks a bit slow to me.

  • We were running at about 2000 rpms on the tractor so that would measure out to ~470 rpms ont he PTO.

  • Great video, I've got a Kioti and really like the machine. I've never seen a bailer working before. Tough to hear the motor on the tractor, when you say maxed out, do you mean PTO horsepower and the Kioti motor is working hard?

    Thanks for posting

  • Yes, we actually choked the tractor out a couple of times when the straw got too think. I love my Kioti, I can't wait until the snow starts flying and I can clean the driveway.

  • windrow is too thick bailers have to have the perfect conditions or you are in for a fun time with it

  • how is this tractor maxed out is should bale this hay better than this it is 45hp that should be more than enough to turn a baler we have used a 35hp tractor might be the way the hay is raked

  • what gear are you driving that kioti in while pulling the bailer?

  • Kioti OK Traktor

  • Balers do run better at 540 at least .

  • Kioti's are the best in my opinion they are good ol'e tractors
