2004 6.0L powerstroke -15F over night starting at about -5F not plugged in. ran at 500 rpms wouldnt rev up. batterys died on the camera at the end

  • i belive that your fuel was gelled up. During winter put #1 fuel in its mixed to prevent fuel from getting gelled up

  • my truck wouldn't start either in those conditions... I have a 7.3 181k and original glow plugs I believe.

  • @ilovegoatsecks glow plugs going out happens my buddies 7.3 had them replaced at 55,000 they all break so don't bitch.

  • @protrucksplus11 my 6.0 has more power than my 7.3 did.. the 6.0L rocks after ARP head studs and EGR delete

  • @ilovegoatsecks One fucking case big whoop my dads a mechanic n owns his own shop specializing in the 6.0 when i was 16 i worked in the shop and ill tell you now it was a big rareity we saw a glow plug problem did you do any research on this before you spoke?

  • @badassouthernboy BS. my six leaker's glow plugs went out a while ago and i live in moderate conditions ( rarely see 30 degree temps in the winter ). check engine light came on and code was 2 bad glow plugs.

  • plug the freakin' thing in dude. they have that block heater for a reason.... I start mine at -40F at 9,500ft above sea level in Colorado, no problem.

  • @protrucksplus11 a rough cold start is usually caused by injectors in the 6.0 the glow plugs are a RARE thing to go bad if its not the injectors your next culprit is the FICM if its not providing the right voltage to the injectors there not injecting
