I also Loctite the wheels on to the dowel pin. Screws come up from the bottom to hold the springs in. And I check them check them often to make sure the wheels are still tight on the dowel. If they come loose you can break a flange. You can weld the flanges back on and re turn them. About 250 is their load limit. And if they are steel they easy hold a ton or what the springs hold. We mostly use the aluminum ones on cars that people don't ride on. Fif you got trucks you can build a car. They are usually a bought item. Few people make them. What you can do with old scrap aluminum. Don't throw metal in the trash. It will be lost forever. Always recycle. My first video with my new camera.

  • A machinist is a dying trade and they are people that do things by hand. But there is a great need for the ones that make one of a kind inventions most all companies want you to order 1000. A prototype shop is hard to find. And expensive too. They cost as much as a auto mechanic. That is why this is a richmans hobby. Unless you can make it . Some locomotives cost as much as a house.

  • I really like what you showed on the boogie train. I would like to manufacture aluminum. Where to get the plans?, If you please comentame sale is the price. There are more videos (apart from the engine that is very good), or if you have a website where you can see photos of the construction of the locomotive. I have in mind make, produce and I'm doing everything I collect all the info I can. From Argentina, La Plata, a greeting and thanks.
