Naturally, someone who had professed the coming of the next ice age in the 1970s would be a bit less believable if he were professing that global warming was the planets current state.

So funny how Stanford 'protected' him from getting embarrassed over this. I think you can find the banned footage on youtube, but not sure exactly what time the question comes up.
This video is playing on the fears of a few scientists on the 70s of global cooling - due to particulates from coal fired power stations emitting large quantities of soot and other pollutants into the atmosphere, blocking out the sun. The 60s saw record cold temperatures all around the world. But the powers stations cleaned up, and we switched to gas, and the problem disappeared. 1976 saw the hottest summer on record - and we have been breaking records ever since - because of CO2.
wheelzwheela- Yup, no surprise. I've been watching this for nearly half a century now. It's called THE CHANGING OF THE SEASONS and it is totally normal. I predict the coming ice age will last from late November '09 into about April '10 and then it will begin to warm again... AMAZING !!!
@ToothbrushMan Good, let's shut it down. Why not let the bastards freeze; what have they done for us? Let's warm up Labrador; it's pretty useless right now.
Freeze ? Without the Atlantic converyor, northern Europe, incuding the oceans, will be covered in roughly 1/2 km of ice. Northern Europe will simply cease to exist, Period.
@ToothbrushMan So...all the heat that used to go to Europe: where will it go? Doesn't it have to GO somewhere? I was hoping to send it to Canada; it is pretty cold up there in winter.
