Old footage from 2007 of my Skoda Fabia TDI putting down a 259.4bhp dyno run. This run was done on my old turbo and with nitrous and propane injection helping. Things have progressed much further since then and now I run water/meth, and have ditched the LPG. Mapping was not the best and smoked a lot off boost. However, it does clear up once boost kicks in. :)

  • @radior28 Yeah - although this footage is about 4 years old now. Car has changed a little bit since then. Modifications went a different path.

    So what did you changed ? In my Passat I've got KKK(Brd) tutbo, FMIC, exhaust only with cat, intake k&n, egr removed, injectors are standard (I don't know where to get bigger one) and remap. At the moment is 198.8 and only 373NM. What else I can change? if I go for a 230-250 bhp setup do I have to change something inside the engine??

  • @radior28 You need bigger nozzles (google Firad) for fuelling and a bigger turbo, eg GTB2260vk. That is a very good turbo indeed.

  • @StavrosCustom I bought the kit from Powershot in the USA and got the doughnut tank from a local LPG fitting garage. Had it all installed by a friend. I don't have it anymore though. I decided to go for bigger injectors instead, plus is makes the car lighter.

  • @devonutopia Hi mate, where you have fitt propane (you mean LPG?) injection, and can you tell me how much was cost you all together? I have simmilar project at the moment will go about 260hp. Next year maybe over 300 but fuel consumption ate the moment is unresonable so want to convert it to LPG/Diesel mix.Im near Manchester do you know any Diesel LPG fitters around there?

  • @radior28 Taki z ciebie korwa szpec a nie wiesz co masz zmienic? Korwa popeliniaz jestes a nie spec jak nie wiesz, a na forum passata sie rzucasz jak gowno w przeremblu. Z 1.9TDI a tym bardziej AVF mozna bez wielkich problemow wydusic 260hp i polamas 500nm, ale kogo ja ucze, przeciez jestes cwany w gembie to i potrafisz duzo nie;) Pozdrawiam forumowiczow i wciaz sram na gurala;) A swoja droga musisz opierdolic Mapeta i 17 innych forumowiczow bo tez maja 142konne passaty jak ja. Zapytaj ich;)

  • @billynoband Not much can be done DIY to give great improvements. The power is all in the software so really, remapping the engine is the best way to free up power. Cheaper things you can do is remove the cat, fit a performance air filter, bigger intake pipe to airbox, replace backbox with straight pipe, fit vent in drivers wheel arch liner to allow intercooler better breathing. Really, all power comes from the ECU telling the turbo/engine to push more air & fuel.

  • What is the first performance enhancer you could do easily yourself on these engines. Cheers.
