OMG, I can't believe the comments people are giving. You guys are ignorant. She went to jail for 3 years, was beaten, raped 5 times by 3 men, had her leg broken...I have lived in Iran. It is an islamic theocracy which means the law of the country is islam. I also lived in southern Iran, where she lived. You wake up everyday hoping you won't piss off your Islamic government who will kill you like a fly. That treats people the way they treated her. She's not a unique case at all.

@terajasoos So if she's a prostitute it's ok for her her to be beaten and raped? Propaganda in Iran against dissidents or those who speak out against the government in any way is very strong. Not to say there isn't propaganda in this country, just look at the treatment of Muslims/Arabs/brown people of any kind in the media here. But I wouldn't completely go by what people are hearing inside Iran either. Obviously SOMETHING happened to this woman. Whatever it was, wasn't Islam though, it was man.

personally im no fan of those fucking stone aged mullahz---however i have heard from some iranian friendz (who r against mullah regime) that this woman is a fake and she was a prostitute and was arrested and that her broken leg is a fake. go figure.
