@Mokujinju even if americanized they were speaking in another language to him too, not just english, he isnt the only "foreigner" this really is a clear case of bullying, not just him being "asian." or truely a racist attack. the media jumped to conclusions too:

This comment has received too many negative votes show
"this video shows this why people really hate americans." what? if you actually knew the story behind this video you would know that 5 of the kids were also ASIANS. 1 kid was white and the other was hispanic. it wasn't a hate crime. also, this is the south side of chicago. one of the worst areas in america. getting jumped for no reason is like a right of passage there.

@Patfitz1234 Being American doesn't determine your ethnicity. You can be asian born in america and you are an American, and I never mentioned it being a hate crime against asians. But like it says in the description, I recorded this only about 30 seconds into watching the video. I jumped into some conclusions that may have not been true and I will admit that. But yeah, it does look like a very dangerous area. Sorry if the video disappointed you though.

Ok guys no need to start fighting each other over people fighting. We can disagree but I don't want a damn war in the comment section.

You make a lot of assumptions about this kid. You assume he did nothing wrong.
A lot of people are calling for karma on the attackers. Don't get me wrong, I don't condone violence of any kind but let's suppose this kid getting beaten up was actually an aggressor. Let's suppose that a few days earlier that Asian kid and 6 of his friends were beating up on someone and this is him getting his karma.
We don't have any information about why the kid was attacked. Assuming things breeds ignorance.

@milkenobi That is true. I did jump to the conclusion that this kid was innocent without knowing the story behind the video.
