Music from the superb Jungle Book (1942). This beautiful film was directed by Zoltan Korda, starred the bright-eyed Sabu, and was masterfully scored by Miklos Rozsa, a Hungarian composer.
Added this to 1942 in my series of music playlists for each of the last 100 years, it's a work in progress. 1950-1980 each play over 1 1/2 hours so far.
It's great orchestral music like this, pop hits, even some old ads, all designed to let you slip back into ANY year with a click of your mouse.
RIP Maestro Seibel
