  • You're an idiot. Are you seriously suggesting that being Turn Based is something WRONG with Alpha Centuari?

  • It's referring to the "Fruit of Knowledge".

  • @ascendrian

Which, of course, is the potato.

  • It's interesting to see this start off as an Alpha Centauri wonder and end up as a Civ IV wonder. I suppose the concept has become a bit more realistic since 1998

  • @yaik7a

Actually, we kind of can. Contrary to whatever misinformation you may have received, NASA is not shutting down. They're only stopping manned flights.

    The more you know, pleb.

  • I want that quote on a t-shirt :)

  • @yaik7a

what do you mean "you guys" im not from a nation that has a space program and they can keep it going there not stoping it there replaceing the shuttle with somthing else and thats gonna take a few years

  • @RedFoxLord Yeah right, you guys can't even keep a space program functioning.

  • @Kaya I hate turnbase based games on the internet but not games like civ galciv and other things liek that is that weird or is it normal??

  • @PyroDesu

yes we do! if the usa wanted to do it now they would but the prise and the oil companys are holding back progress

  • this will be constructed within the next 5 or so decades IMO, Its the next step in space transportation, Its the only method of moving something into space without the use of a vast amount of fuel and resources.

It's theoretically possible, and most definitely viable, the largest problem would be most likely getting the counterweight/station in orbit in the first place, since its such a huge object.

@cupit29 Carbon Nanotubes, Its a Very, very thick cable.

    The material of choice

  • @92451721921892113 we.... don't have the technology...... yet......
