The deception of the self righteousness. Hiding behind the 'best I can do' and comparisons of pot calling the kettle black. The sins that we will need to fight till the end, the sin that can stifle us, blind us and deceive us - pride and selfishness. Self justification and pointing fingers. Are you searching for truth? For a meaning of life? for something missing? Zac Poonen mentions of how one can miss and go astray in self righteousness. How Jesus and the Bible spoke of being freed from spiritual pride and self justification. Like an onion. "Thank God we are not like them attitude". This clip is an extract from the message " Characteristics of Pharisees" delivered at the conference "Led by the Spirit, not under the Law". • have a little faith brat a ha ha ha oh well human nature aye?

  • I love this message.. This message is led by holy spirit and those who criticize this message is led by spirit of anti christ..

  • Thank you Mr Poonen! Pride and selfishness, that's very true, I know I have both of those 2 sins in me, they get thinner with time but they're not completely gone, now what you said made perfect sense, thank you.

  • hey I what if you say something to my self that I think but i will actually want to do it is this because i am not like otheres do you thik it could be dangerrous I could be like a president general priest or batman?

  • WOW! Very powerful message. I like at the end how he admitted he would never get rid of pride and selfishness. As of late I've come to the conclusion that I still have a lot of pride in me and was wondering if it will ever get away. I really like his analogy w/ the onion in that he wants those layers to be as thin as possible when Jesus comes.

  • thanks for sharing the truth that we try to hide so often as Christians...

many of us boast and go as far even to say we have no sin, yet when God has sad there is none righteous no, not one!

too many people have this spirit and it blinds them and makes them proud before GOD... which God does say he resist the proud but gives grace to the humble.

  • I am discovering that I am a recovering pharisee. Recovering because it still comes up, but the Lord is faithful and convicts me of my error-doesn't mean I'm always willing to listen at the time. Thanks for this message and encouragement :)

  • This is exactly what I needed to hear today! I put this on my blog (TheSkinnyOnline) so my readers can enjoy and learn Thank you!!!

  • so good

  • tremendous
