Adobe no longer bundles Audition with the Production Suites, which is unfortunate since its replacement is nearly useless. UPDATE! As of CS5.5, Adobe is once again including Audition! Maybe this video and others like it did some good!!!

  • Hi, it looks like some1 already covered it, but I will still add my 2 cents. I do like ur review of Audition esp since I did not know that it was that user-friendly. I feel like I missed out. At the same time,I have to upgrade to CS 5.5. at some point, but that is only because I am taking a beating on rendering times. Although I know u do not care much 4 Soundbooth, it actually is a good product for us newbies who just need some simple functions e.g. clicks, pops, 2 fix audio for video projects.

  • @mnash3 When you upgrade, you may get Audition as part of 5.5. You'll love it!

  • They released 5.5 really sucks, you cant beat match in multi track like audition 2&3, they avtuall removed the clip stretch fuction in the mutitrack, it going to be harder to mix different bpms

  • @jbx907 Thanks for sharing! Why is every Adobe upgrade really a downgrade? What are they thinking???

  • Hello, could you help me please.

Effectively, I just want to drag a drop the plugin (Something that can lounden the audio)and then it will automatically do its thing. Just like the Auto Color Corrector.

    Thanks

  • @i3tek Well, you can load the file in Audition and then choose which plugin you'd like to affect the audio. You're advised to preview it first, though, so you can set appropriate settings before rendering it.

  • soundbooth and audition are for two totally different things. Audition is for audio mixing, Soundbooth is not. Soundbooth is for mixing sound effects like cars passing through the rain on a highway, not for making songs like audio. Adobe explains it on their site a bit better than me. Check it out.

  • audacity FTW

  • WOOHOO an honest review

  • adobe is not bad....but wen u record the vocals are always behind...in cubase there is a button to ix that...how do u get it to sync accurately in adobe...dats ma main problem..with the product

  • @bdubrecords - Thanks for the response. We'll see. I know 5.5 is suppose to take advantage my quadcores in order to speed up rendering times; so we'll see. I just hope that audition does not lose the simplicity of Soundbooth as I really only need the audio for interfacing with Premiere for quick sound editing for video projects. I use ProTools and Propellerheads Record/Reason for extensive audio projects. Thanks again for the feedback.

  • @bdubrecords "Sales of Adobe® Soundbooth® audio software ended on April 24, 2011. Adobe Audition® CS5.5 is replacing Soundbooth in Adobe Creative Suite® 5.5 Production Premium software, based on customer requests for a professional audio toolset that integrates with the Adobe workflow. "

  • @bdubrecords i really don't know, they must have forgot or it just wont work for video editors, 5.5 is not for DJs but rather maybe for video audio edits only! im sticking with audition 3 for dj remixes!
