Isla St Clair singing Hundred Pipers from the award winning film When the Pipers Play with the Massed Pipes and Drums of all the regular Scottish Regiments. Isla keeps to the old style tempo, the way soldiers would have sung it in barracks.
The sequence starts with a montage of Victorian stills of Highland and Lowland regiments, and ends with clans of today marching to the Argyllshire Gathering in Oban. Directed by Patrick King, narrated by Tom Conti, music by Ian Lynn, the film also features top pipers Angus MacColl, Alasdair Gillies, Willie MacCallum, Michael Cuzak and Gordon Walker. The DVD and CD were produced by Highland Classics. Details available from the producers -highlandclassics - website.
I heard this tune played on accordion...

Very nice - a slower rendition than usual, and it works well.
