Little Feat Manchester Palace 1976. [06-Feb-1976] . I found some old 35mm slides collecting dust in a box in my attic. Spent some time carefully restoring/enhancing them, and I uploaded them here for your entertainment, and in the process learning how to use Sony Vegas! Looking at these I can't believe how close you can get with a 200mm lens compared to the standard full stage 55mm view ! These were from my glory days (LOL) Some time later I started using negative material, which seemed to give more crisp images, but lost a lot of the atmosphere. Good old Ektachrome! Got some fairly decent close ups of Lowell George and Paul Barrere. The music ( I try to get as near date-wise to the original show as I can) is from Little Feat Orpheum Theatre Boston Ma USA 31 Oct 1975. I have enough material for another two of these. Hope to upload them over the next 2-3 months. Enjoy!

When I heard he was gone, I went on a 3-day bender. His music touched my soul and changed my life. Despite all of his inner demons, he must have been a fascinating person to know. Thank God for all the Feat/Lowell stuff here on youtube.
I read that when the band used a medium to contact him in the afterlife and asked what happened, his reply was "I f****d up!" Indeed.

brought back memories of seeing the band in 76 @ Warner theatre in DC. some nice shots-a bit exposed, but that's what you were seeing! pretty good sound on this-did you record too?

This is just about the time I kicked Lowell out of my life (sigh)... He was a handful, I couldn't watch him destroy himself, and he sure as Hell wasn't going to hang out at my house and do heroin. When I heard he was dead, I wasn't surprised.
