This is my second cell made of 2 outer connected positive plates, a central negative plate with 5 neutral plates on each side. I used 2 mm 316 L Inox (stainless steel) plates with a spacing of 1.5 mm. Since I have no electrical equipment at all at present time, I have to go to some friends to test if they are working.
As soon as I can purchase some equipment I will start with extensive testing on my own even with pulsed or frequency devices. But in order to do that I will have to understand first what I need to by and learn how to work with it.
Fortunately I know a very talented 35 years old electronical engineer but he lives 400 miles away so this is going to take some time.
While I wait for my knoledge in electronics to happen, I'll continuing having fun building cells in order to have something to test with.
I am already at a good point with a 7 cores cell out of tubes........

  • Hi ! Would you be so kind to tell (wrote) for what purpose is neutral plates ? Is there not sufficient just to have positive and negative electrodes? Thanks in advance.

  • @zovik222 A car battery usually is around 13.5 volts. To produce HHO you only need 1.5 volts between plates (actually 1.27 volts), everything above 1.5 volts goes into heat. If you have a positive and a negative plate and 13.5 volts there is a lot of wasted voltage. if you add neutrals you lower the voltage that passes from plate to plate.

This is not a scientific answer ....

  • Hallo,

hom much does 316L steel costs?

i want to make a dry cell and i got a shop too ( dont know the prices yet)

is it dificult to drill holes in it? becouse the company doesnt drill holes.

    Nick

  • It is not so expensive but it depends in what country you are in and it depends on the size you have to buy. If you can find a metal working company that uses Stainless Steel for the pharma industry or food processing you can ask for little pieces and they cut it for you for little money. To drill it it takes about half the revolutions you need for normal steel and a perfectly cutting drill point and use a lot of pressure then release and press use refrigerating lubricant

  • My wife is an English teacher and she would be happy if I talked as well as you.

My question is, what type of glue did you use to hold the plates together? Most glues won't hold metal.

Thank you for sharing your ideas.

  • Thanks for the English moral support.

The glue is a sealant and also glue it is UV resistant and cures with humidity once hardened it feels like a hard rubber you can use it to glue metal to metal stone to stone and metal to stone and wood and so on it is very universal.

Here in Switzerland the name is Gyso 444

  • @ammanninox

i have 8 10x6,6 cm normal plates now.

and i want to make a small experimentive torch.

should i make a small dry cell ore wet cell?

dry cells have more production for the same amount of amps, so i think i make a dry cell.

    Nick
