  • Before the opening to 24Hours Weekend from Christmas Eve 1989, there was a CBC Manitoba ident that reminded our viewers to join that anchorwoman for the weekday evening edition of 24Hours at 6pm. Who is that anchorman by the way?

  • That is Sandra Lewis, who anchored 24Hours until 1993. I'm still trying to figure out if she was on Classic Concentration during her tenure at 24Hours...

  • Sandra left Winnipeg in 1993 and worked for CBC Newsworld International for a number of years. She is no longer with the CBC. She is now a trainer therapist working in Toronto. Sandra did win a car on Classic Concentraion, however she sold the car in the U.S and kept the money. Sandra is a vegetarian.

  • That is Sandra Lewis in the promo. She won a car on Classic Concentration in the 80's. She sold it and took the money instead. Yes, Sandra is a body building, Jewish Vegetarian. She no loner works in the industry. She now lives in Toronto and works as a "Natural Homeopath Therapist"

  • I think she appeared on Jeopardy at some point. She was also a bodybuilder if I remember correctly.

  • Way better than CBC News at 6. Not only is there a late local newscast, but it is on a weekend! Not the CBC we know today.
