Parents Wake Up To Possible Swine Flu Outbreak in ROCORI School District

At 6:10 AM today this morning parents all across the ROCORI School District got the following phone call from Superintendent Scott Staska.


ROCORI Parents:

Late last night, I was made aware of a probable case of H1N1 novel influenza (formerly known as swine flu) within the ROCORI School District. An individual from the ROCORI Middle School site has been experiencing "flu-like symptoms" of an undetermined flu strain. According to the information shared with me, the symptoms of the individual are not alarming but the flu strain was determined to need further characterization at Centers for Disease Control. The individual is recovering without complications. Health officials are working to determine the specific flu strain involved, but it is possible that the strain is H1N1 novel influenza.

you can't get swine flu from eating bacon or pork. it is not food borne. and its not really funny. i am from ROCORI and i am not laughing right now.

I was just sick, and when I went to school today everyone was talking about it. This phone call is famous across Minnesota!When I came to school, a girl said to me when I told her I was sick she said, "Atleast it 's not the swine flu". This is crazy. DONT EAT PORK OR BACON!LOLOL
