Due to popular demand, we are reviewing this DX-format superzoom lens from Nikon. The original 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G VR was introduced in 2005 and was a popular lens - so what does this second version offer?

  • Nikon 55-200mm please!

... And also is it just me who gets reminded of the Miyazaki movie " Spirited Away" at 6:04?

  • Carry on filming.

  • hát ezt a fasz! rózsaszín d7000 ... ez hülye!

és még át is írta a NIKON-t Pinkonra! kapja be!

  • If only Jumbo was better here..... sad face.

  • When looking around for a high-quality normal-zoom to step up from the 18-55VR kit lens, I first looked at the 18-200VRII (reading reviews etc). However, since at least one person IRL and many people online had mentioned that they didn't like the softness it sometimes has, and the lens creep etc., I ended up buying the 16-85 instead (also VRII).

As I haven't tried both side-by-side, I can't say if the difference matters much. But anyway: also consider the 16-85 if you're looking at the 18-200.
