Great video! Even though I can't dive, I am thinking about going to Utila to snorkel, would you say it's a good choice? Would I be able to see anything similar (not as good of course) as what you filmed? Also, is it true that Utila is much less "commercial" than Roatan? Much more genuine and rustic I guess is what I meant to say. Thanks, and once again great video!!

I'm not sure about the snorkeling. I'd say there are better places to go for that. Utila is definitely less commercial than Roatan. My suggestion would be to learn to dive, you'll love it. Captain Morgan's will put you up in a hotel for free out on Water Cay, which is a small locals island. Not bugs and absolutely gorgeous. Ask for Shelley when you go and she'll set you up, teach you to dive and make it an epic trip.

This was in July, August and September. Watch it with sound at vimeo (31641761 Beneath the Surface).
I don't remember the shark spot but Captain Morgan's dives predominantly on the North side where we saw nurse sharks at several of the spots. I never saw a shark on the South side.
