The the chip system can be bypassed by buying refillable cartiriges with a manual reset on them, or you can use a logic logic analyzer to identify the singal and emulate it with a micro-controller such as PIC or AVR to allways tell the printer that the ink levels are full. The flaw to doing this though is if you run the ink dry it will destory your print heads, So best option is useing a continuous ink system to prevent this.
