I like that they made Peter a science geek and created his web shooters, cause otherwise the webs would come out of his butt, like a real spider.

i thought garfiled did amazing...i thought he did better then maguire..dont get me wrong though..i love both.

Spider-Man was different in this movie, but had the essence of Peter Parker. You have to remember that Spider-Man was created in the 60s and developed in the 70s. This movie brings the character to modern levels, much like Ultimate Spider-Man. This is why he's not as much of a "nerd," so to say. He's more of a social outcast who's bullied for his brilliance and shyness. Tobey, and this is coming from a fan, wasn't nearly as smart of a Peter as Andrew was. Being smart was a important part to it.
