Duran Duran laughing out loud during an interview. Nov 2007
Seconds prior to the laughing they were talking about the Jerry Springer Show and JT came out with the Andy Taylor comment. Very funny!

  • I totally disagree with you.

Yes, Andy was a very important part on the band but the rest of the guys are who they are because of their own great talent.

  • can someone write what did john say? sorry i didn't understand (besides 'coming out')because my english is not so good... although his words were not articulate here!:D

  • I made annotations on the video so you can understand. Watch it again!

  • That's not nice to say.

I love RCM, by the way.

  • That was mean when john said that he assumed andy's album wasn't coming out! Andy managed to stay quiet about the whole situation, why can't they?

  • Nonono....he is pretending he is ANDY saying "I'm suing (Duran Duran) and this album (theirs)isn't coming out.

    Pure sarcasm!

  • The problem with Andy is that he is so unbearable! and everytime he quit he needed to 'blab' about the band...his guitar is definitely a trademark of the older years, but they have definitely managed to succeed without him. And dont forget about Warren he did afterall remain with Duran longer than Andy did and he is an incredibly talented musician too...

  • @LouGrimaldi No.

  • @LouGrimaldi Nile Rodgers played guitar on the title track. Andy's work is present on a couple of songs on the album, but that's not one of them.

  • also andy lost his father around this time, dd should have been their to support him and help him, instead they used it as an opportunity to be mean to him. i lost respect for a band i really love and this will be a dark spot in duran duran's legacy.

  • maybe andy was hard to work with. maybe not. only dd knows. andy is not overrated his guitar playing does bring something special to the group, i also like the group with warren. everyone but simon and nick have quit the band at one point, so why be so fucking judgmental? obviously being in duran duran takes its toll sometimes. its really low class that they keep bringing up andy's name and laughing at him even though he's gone. they must be be bitter.

  • Does anyone know why Andy left the band (again)? Was it due to musical differences or something more personal.

If Andy is unhappy about the sound these days then I'm with him. They suck these days.

  • @LouGrimaldi

    Big Thing was great!

  • @Bulonita

Nah, Warren thought he was in a heavy metal band. Hated his sound.

  • Sorry, but I think this is funny! Duran Duran was the only successful thing Andy Taylor ever did, other than the Duran offshoot of 'Power Station' and he had his chance to get back with them, and in my opinion, 'All You Need Is Now' is the best Duran album since 'Rio', and it was made without Andy, so oh well! It's very telling how John, who was once his best friend in the band, is the one making the snide comments.

  • whatever happened ...i hate they were so mean to Andy....

  • @DuranFan001 He was talking about Reportage
