@RobRuotolo1 I'm not actually mounting it on a motorbike helmet.....I'm putting mounts on the bike, my snowboarding helmet and my rollerblading helmet so it's going to be subjected to hits, falls and vibrations.
I'm sure the user manual for your helmet would have warned against using paints or stickers on the helmet surface. By doing so you risk the degradation of the chemicals that add strength to the shell and more than likely void your warranty.
Rivets require holes, holes are even worse!

Yea, from all the side by side comparisons I've seen the GoPro seems to have a bit higher quality video. The Contour vids seem just a tiny bit darker for some reason and the GoPro audio seems better. Just wish it was cheaper.
Can you let me know which videos are the chin mount & which are the top helmet mount? Thanks for the tips...good stuff!!! I went to Barber this past weekend & wish I had this camera!

@nawtn Hi, if you see a lot of the bike in an overview perspective the is the top mount and if you are looking straight through my window thats the chin mount. I look forward to doing the Barber thing one day in CT.. Well I hope you get a chance to do it again and perhaps grab one if these cameras.. best of luck.

Is it me or does everybody think that putting a Gopro camera in front of your field of view (visor) is a safe place to mount on your helmet?

@mwells45 if you are wondering ,it is below my line of sight and does not interfere with my vision at all. I've had it on for 3 years now with no issues.
