I like the guy who plays L (from what I've seen, anyway; never seen the whole movie yet), but I thought L was English/British, not Asian.

Actually, the really scary one in death note is ryuk himself. It was him who started everything, and he doesn't give a f*** about love, which makes him practically immortal. While light and l were burning all of their mind and soul to battle each other, he simply stood on the sideway and grinned like a real psycho, like "We shinigami don't even have to think to kill". Plus he has the most funny, and most creepy, and most fishy (literally dudes, he looks like a fish) face one can ever imagine xD
