Oppo's BDP 95 Universal Disc Player

This is new universal disc player from Oppo Digital and new addition to Oppo's family of universal disc players. It has been released in Feb 2011. Key features of BDP 95 are:
It can any disc format CD, SACD, DVDA, DVDV, Bluray, HDCD, etc.
Digital audio formats WMA, AIFF and other digital audio and video
Independent circuits for multi-channel and two channel audio
Dedicated outputs for two channel: Balanced and unbalanced
Dedicated reference quality DAC for two channel and multi channel audio processing
eSATA input for playing audio from hard-disk
USB enabled WIFI connectivity

I registered at Oppo's website and they send me link to order and I received it in 2 weeks. Something I learned while setting up this player is that both multichannel and stereo out are active simultaneously which means you can feed one out to separate receiver/amp in separate room. Also, stereo out is 2 channel only, so no sub-woofer unless you wish to either use multichannel out or use electronic equalizers on receiver. In my setup, HDMI out is for video only. Audio through analog audio out.

It's not expensive, its a great deal considering it probly the best ble ray player under $5000

Oppo 83 / 93 and 95 excellent players but why in the world such a high price. They should keep the same quality and go mainstream. Not everybody can afford an Oppo like this one. I rather buy a Pioneer BDP LX-55 which also has the same video processing chip 2nd gen. Qdeo but the price of such a pioneer is cheaper then an oppo. I'm not saying don't buy oppo i'm just saying that why not make it affordable...we already live in an era where every penny must be saved with the economic crisis :(

Did you use the balanced XLR's for your analog audio? If you didnt...you should. Makes a world of difference. Nice player by the way;-)
