The shotgun going all the way up isn't recoil, it is the character pumping the weapon. It is standard to lift the M870 up while pumping the shell out.

shotguns are back in 2.8.4

find the enemy ai characters on the map and go into properties there should be a place to select weapons, select shotgun

it was designed to be a breaching shotgun but is now replaced by the door breacher charge because people where trying to use it in combat and there were forceclass servers that just had all shotgun battles
and America's Army was designed to give you a realistic army experience and they dont use combat shotguns in the army
