Its a very close lightning strike and a great catch BUT lightning did NOT arc into your dugout.
What your seeing is called "ghost lightning". This is a reflection of the actual bolt hitting the opposite field from you. The reflection is caused by the camera lens and the lightning is simply to fast for the camera to be on par with.

It would've been awesome if the batter connected when the lightning struck! No doubt his nickanme would've forever been "The Natural". :D Ah well... can't win 'em all.

I use to work at these ballfields as a groundskeeper and I have seen some close calls, but this is the closest. The lighting is so awesome in St. George though. How it echoes off the Red mountain.Awesome video!

What you're seeing isn't actually the lightning, it's a reflection within the camera...it's quite a common optical artefact with digital video. If the lightning had actually struck where it appears on the video, the thunder would have occurred instantly, not with the slight delay, and several people would have been hurt! The lightning bolt is probably just out of view to the left of the picture and struck a couple of hundred metres away. Search for 'lightning artefacts' on google..
