@costablancafan ps- all latrodectus are known as widow spiders and button spiders

@costablancafan there are around 31 species of widow spider (latrodectus sp.) world wide. black widow is just the common name for latrodectus mecans, latrodectus hesperus and latrodectus variolus...all the rest have other common names like red widow, brown widow, katipo spider and red back

I do pool services atm in Perth and they're under 1 out of every 5 skimmer box lids. I'm American, and one of the most interesting things about these spiders is how sticky their webs are. The silk they produce is stickier than any other I've encountered although they're not nearly as scary as the Huntsman
