@quiksilverryan Paaage is way overrated , sorry some of his live solos are messy aweful, but VAN HALEN HENDRIX PAGE r three of the greatest guitar song writers of all time, i agree VAN HALEN = PAGE & HENDRIX combined

@hlmguitarsaxman Eddie Van Halen is about more than speed. He has 'feeling'. He just shows it in different ways. Clapton and Gilmour are good, but they are just too boring for me. There's just not enough variation in their soloing and their riffs are boring for the most part. Metal can often get boring as well. I don't understand how sweeps are lazy. They are pretty hard to do cleanly. Relying on the same old basic scale to carry you through every solo and tons of riffs... now that's lazy.
