The final song on Bright Eyes' new (and possibly final) album, The People's Key. A beautiful song and a great conclusion of sorts.

I made this tribute vid as it's more interesting to look at than a single photo. Enjoy, and I placed some references to Conor's lyrics in the photos that I hope some people will pick up on/appreciate.

The voice at the end is that of Denny Brewer a new age sharman, traveler, biker and musician who Conor drew inspiration from for this album.

Check my channel for more cool music : )

  • I saw them live @ Hawaii yesterday.

This was the last song of their last day on tour for the year...

And what a special one it was at that.

I got to shake hands with Laura. She seemed kinda shy but still, cool.

I shook hands with Conor twice. The second time, he held it and leaned in. I felt his beard on my cheek and then felt something wet. I'm not sure if it was sweat or if he kissed me on the cheek (I'm a dude).

My friends thought it was weird, but it just shows how much he loves his fans.

  • @TheAngerPowered You're so lucky. I had the chance to meet him during the summer. He was stood outside the stage door having a cigarette with someone and I knew it was him, but I just froze. I was with my friends and Conor was looking over to us (I think confused as to why I was staring but not going over). Even after he finished his cigarette, he just kinda stood there like he was waiting or something. I'll regret not going over to say hi for the rest of my life. Thanks for the comment! : )

  • I don't know who Denny Brewer is but he sounds like he'd be dang cute

  • @MIRRORSnFEVERS He kinda looks like Santa. : )

    (seriously!)

  • This picture makes Nate Walcott look like the guy who played Lupin in Harry Potter.

  • @evelira haha, Nate looks like he would make an excellent wizard X D

  • @evelira that made my day XD

  • I believe I found Santa;-) I am in TOTAL AWE and ADORATION no matter what he has brough me;-) XO I have a present for him too;-) When can we meet for a present swap?

  • In response to the Dylan comments. Dylan was the most important songwriter to emerge in the 60's. There have been other great and important songwriters who have emerged in different times and Conor is without a doubt the most important and best to come from the USA in the last decade and a bit - therefore Conor joins a tradition of great and important songwriters who, whilst enduring the course of time, stay very relevant to the context they emerge in. The man's a genius!

  • This is my favourite song of all time. I feel it in my bones every time I hear the intro.

  • i love how its so simple yet so complex. just like most of their songs. honestly i dont think anybody can top bright eyes. in my eyes anyways. If only if only everybody took a minute to listen.

  • This video has no dislikes That's one big accomplishment!

  • @AmandaNinasArt To quote Homer: 'hmmmmm... ribs'

  • i heard bright eyes live three days ago, and this was the last song they played... while singing, conor went down to the audience.. I TOUCHED HIS RIBS.

I'm sorry, i just thought the world had to know. (': (': (':

  • This album seems to make EVERYTHING suddenly make some kind of trancendent sense- I love it more every day!

Nice Video too. Some incedible pictures in there.

If it turns out to be the last Bright Eyes album, so be it.

As for the whole Dylan issue, he was relevant to his time- and this is relevant to mine. It's hard to explain to the uninnitiated the magnatude of Connor's writing without some sort of reference point.

  • hey you did a great job on the video and i knew the dylan was coming too,but i think its okay i mean people are always inclined to draw comparisons doesnt mean theyre right or wrong but i think dylan is probably the best person to compare to,if it must be done.but man this record is great isnt it?

  • I cringed at the dylan pic with connor following, I knew it was comming but hoped it didnt, I dont mean to be neggitive its just I dont really like comparrisions, here, there or anywhere. Otherwise Nice work my friend.

  • Such a wonderful song... it's almost hard to stop it without just repeating it over and over 'cause I don't want it to stop, ever!

  • This song would be perfect for the closing--roll to credits--scene of the upcoming film "One Day." I would be too thrilled it that happened.

Sad that this is (supposedly) going to be the last one.

  • I can't wait to buy the vinyl.

  • he said he was open to making music with desaparecidos again, and in my opinion that was his best music

  • harry potter references on a bright eyes video..double the fun

  • I love this, by the way.

  • i like your video
