Saw "Orfeo" for the first time last night. What a movie! Great acting, great score, great direction, and most importantly, so genuinely felt.

I'm not in the music industry. Factory worker. I'm just a music fan. I see how popular jazz has been in Japan. I'm far from a music expert but I don't see much blending of traditional Japanese music and jazz.
When I first was exposed to traditional Korean music a lot of it reminded me of dixieland. Free form, improv, time shifting, implied endings...

No particular reason, actually. I just happened to stumble on this Korean music show and decided to upload clips of performances I like most.
I hope to see a merging of jazz and korean music styles. I believe that of all asian countries, Korea's music traditions have the greatest potential for merging with jazz. Like Brazil in South America, and France in Europe.
