Josh Beckett responds to a question, about the Indians' choice to have his ex-girlfriend sing the national anthem, after his great performance in Game 5 of the 2007 ALCS.

Thanks to SoSH and Barstool for the links. Soxspace, thanks for not approving my submission, but allowing someone else to post it. Change your shirt.

A special thanks to NoMaas to believing in Beckett as an ace even after his tough 2006 season:

  • the only reason y fukin cleveland did that is to make joshy pissed and hoped that they lose and so the Sox got Millar to throw in the first pitch, they wanted him to wear a sox jersey but he wuldnt do it

  • Millar couldn't do it, you know, since he is under contract with the Orioles. Millar would give his left nut to get back on the Red Sox...

  • ppview, actually 26 other teams did what the Yankees did this year, which is not make it past the first round of the playoffs.

You're still celebrating that wild card, I see.

  • what are you talking about thats pretty much every player. AKA Ellsbury, A-Rod, Pettite, Lackey, Weaver, Lowell, Mussina.

  • According to GM Theo Epstein, Josh Beckett is "feeling good" after starting "full-body workouts" at his home in Texas.

Beckett was supposed to need six weeks to recover from the strained or torn oblique he suffered at the end of September. "The latest reports are really good," Epstein said. "He doesnt feel any restrictions or pain."

  • i remember watching this and saying "did he really say fuck?" haha

  • Josh Beckett said he struggled to put his shirt on before his Game 6 start against the Rays and would have needed another cortisone shot to pitch in the World Series had the Red Sox advanced.

Beckett, who was pitching through an oblique tear, allowed two runs over five innings to win Game 6. "The one thing I know," he said, "is if I could have gotten the last three innings of that game I can get through anything." Beckett will probably be recovered from his oblique injury in 6-8 weeks.

  • Josh is such a boss.

  • hahahhahahaha

  • i fuckin hate reporters sometimes so fuckin much.....they have all the leverage....they can say what they want and if they tip the player over they get good ratings and they know the player who is capable of ripping their vertebrae out cant do anything or they'll sue like little bitches.....why ask a stupid fuckin question like that?? pisses me off....sideline reporters like erin andrews, press conference reporters, SUCK MY DICK!! STOP STARTING SHIT TO GET RATINGS BECAUSE YOU WANT A PROMOTION!!!
