Excuse me for the bad playing and the crappy video editing...

I was bored... So I made this sound demo... Of course I couldn't demonstrate all of the sounds that you can get out of this bass... There are... just too many... O_o

The bass is connected to a Marshall MB30 amp, which is connected directly to the mic jack through the line-out. And it's got a set of some DR Lo-Riders.

  • hey nice playing and demo, just curious about what strings did you used on it? thanks

  • @petzhopoy I think I had a set of DR Lo-Riders on it n that time, but now I've got some Hi-Beams. I like the Hi-Beams a lot more, they last longer.

  • @RadioMasterDude since you're the second person telling me this im gonna grab my share of the hi-beams...do you think the strings contribute a lot to the sound on these basses? in my case yes. if i keep my strings worn on the l2000 for more than a month it's gonna sound really muddy, worse than any cheap bass around

  • @petzhopoy Well any kind of bright string contributes to the sound of the bass, but I prefer DR Hi-Beams cause they last a lot longer. I had them on for 6 months but one day my hands started to sweat like hell and the tone got dull. I left it like that for few weeks without playing (I hate it when my tone gets dull), but then I decided to clean the strings by leaving them in denatured alcohol for a little more than 12 hours, and now they sound like new. I guess the muddy tone thing is fixable.

  • How is the thickness of the neck?

  • @carligni The neck is pretty thick & wide, actually. P-Bassish. If you're really used to Jazz Bass style necks, it takes a while to get comfortable with (well with me it did).

  • Awesome slap skills dude !

  • oye usas algo para reducir ruidos de la estatica o solo el bajo directo al ampli y del ampli a la pc?

  • very nice playing, do you improvise all that?

and btw how much did that bass cost ?

  • @RadioMasterDude I've heard that the hi beams do last longer, but I've also heard that the lo riders had a fuller and more pronounced low end, and had more of a growl to them. would you agree?

  • i own a L2000 tribute

it's a fantastic bass, probably the best i ever played

  • WOW dude!
