They seem to be holding the blades on their thumbs and forefingers. That's the side of the blade that wouldn't be sharp anyway. It's not the attacking side of the sword.

Love the idea of the shadows, but girls, please! dont grab the sword by the blade! it cuts all the magic really! Swords should be handled with care, as if they were very sharp! apart from that detail, I loved ur performance!
