This was back in 2007, now with Fukushima past 3/2011 spewing radioactivity into the air, ground water (and will for the next decade minimum) the world is starting to get a realistic reality check on nuclear waste. It can NOT be made inert, that is a lie. Containers/Dry Casks have to be replaced approx every 50 years. No way is it cheaper passing costs down to our grandchildren. Every Nuke plant is a Fukushima waiting to happen, EMP/CME fusing of pumps and its game over in 2 - 3 days.

Did not hear a peep from 60 Minutes!
Not even to interview the late Dr. Roy
when he invented the Roy Pocess in
1979. What would be the most significant
story 60 Minutes ever produced! The
Associated Press carried the story world wide! The New York Times did a story!
Then President Reagan outlawed it and
picked Yucca Mt. Guess why!

I think 60 min is copywrited....this shouldn't be on Youtube at all.
cbemerine, Nuclear power plants aim, is to make plutonium 239 for atom bombs. The rest is PR to entrench NPPs into the economy. It is a heat source that boils water that makes electricity. We can backwards engineer nuclear elements to zero, which also produces heat. Mined uranium can be a fuel source as well.

Dr. Roy proved calculations for Pu 239, Sr 90 and Cs 137 in the Patent Application and was seen by other scientists.who said the Roy Process was "entirely feasible" .
You can reduce Cs 137 and Sr 90 to a stable, non-radioactice element and produce electricity from the heat. Regardless, burial is federal law!

How sad

@goodguy2949 - A Geiger counter will be common as a wrist watch. Cancer rates are 1 in 2 now! In a few decades, most everyone will have cancer! Its later than you think! Sad indeed.
