@MotownMaster It's not a matter of who can sing better than whom. Each one of us is an individual. The Supremes was an individual entity comprised of Florence, Mary, and Diana. Anyone other than those 3 is a variation on that entity. Cindy served as a variation that "most" people accepted to some extent. When the subject of a "reunion" came up, it could have had the 3 best singers in the world, but if they weren't Diana, Mary, and Florence (or Cindy), then it was not going to be acceptable!

@bigbear39ca They both behaved badly PERIOD! And who cares where Mary performs? At least, she's making a living. She probably makes more than u do. If Diana wasn't so self-centered, she wouldn't have gotten the all the blame 4 this. Mary is just as self-centered as well but it's ridiculous 2 blame her 4 Cindy's refusal 2 perform. Cindy is a woman who can make her own decisions. Get off w/ blaming Mary 4 Cindy not taking Ross' offer. Everybody should take responsibility 4 their own actions.

If Diana was the consumate 'professional', she would have included Mary & Cindy at the planning stages when this was proposed. If she didn't treat Mary & Cindy like the household help, I believe they would have done this tour. But that's what happens when u're so 'smart'! Diana wasn't 'smart' & the bad publicity sunk this tour. Mary wasn't 2 smart either with her 'woe is me' parade in front of the media. Both women acted badly & it's sad that a Supremes Reunion will never happen. Plain sad!

So Mary turned down the money and prestige of the tour and has spent the last 11 years playing country fairs and half empty regional theatres in England.

Diana has toured the world 3 maybe 4 times since and got a Kennedy Centre Honor, and is currently getting some of the best reviews of her career.

Who looks like the loser a decade on?

I sincerely hope Diana never even gives a second thought to another reunion, she just doesn't need it.

didn't Diana say to Mary Wilson? "Just show up!" and Mary said no THANKS! Mary wasn't going to be an employee to her and certainly it's was going to be a DIANA ROSS show with the SUPREMES name. Mary Wilson wanted some say in the show not just some background singer of diana ross.  $20 million for ROSS and $3M for Mary ,,,,,please! NO THANKS!

@MotownMaster I don't like to argue but I have several interviews in which Mary clearly states she wanted to talk about the shows with Diana BEFORE talking money. She wanted to make sure that it'd be truly a Supremes reunion tour and not a Ross extravaganza with two background singers lost way down there as part of the decoration. In other words The Supremes wanted ARTISTIC INPUT in a show that was going to use their name. To Diana all that probably sounded like Greek...

@rameller1 No the only reason Mary turned it down is because she felt she wasn't offered the money she should have gotten as an original Supreme, and i agree with Mary she should have been offered a little more, but Mary is the one who killed that tour
