Golden Week ゴールデンウィーク

What am I doin for Golden Week? Well, aside from unpacking, struggling to communicate with those around me and building modular furniture in my new living room; I went hiking. The other day I went hiking through wilds of Mount Rokko 六甲山. Mt.Rokko and Mt. Maya make up the green hills that stand behind Kobe. I expected to be attacked by wild boars (Warning signs said `Be Careful`), but only had a brief encounter with a small salamander! In an earlier vid I made about hiking in Korea, I shared the mountain with literally thousands of hikers....during a 3 hour hike, I only crossed paths with about 5 people on Mount Rokko...it was cool.

how much is it to fly from canada to kobe and did you go on air canada to go ?

There was a good one by my old apartment in Busan. Jangsan was the name. I have some good memories of hiking there as well.

Welcome to Japan. Fine day, nice hiking! I've never been to Kobe. I've never been to the west area from Osaka. I don't have a lot of knowledge about Kobe. Kobe beef, Gaijin town, Mt. Rokko and some. Kobe seems like a big town, so I'm surprised. I hope you have a great time in golden week.

Kobe doesn't seem to be any more "Gaijin Town" tha anywhere else I've been in Japan. In Osaka, Tokyo, Nara, Himije, Kobe, blah blah blah....lots of non-Japanese. I suppose you'de have to really scramble off into the country-side to be in a "Gaijin-free" zone??

it be cool to get lost intentionally but only if you had a GPS device to help you find your way back. other wise you'd be really lost for sure

Just took about 90 minutes....then I almost got lost. Decided to come back down. Didn't want to have a Japanese search party sent for me when I'd only been in country for 2 weeks! hehe
