Black people didn't show up so what. What you want us to do drag every black person from every home out onto a the street to protest an issue they obviously don't care about.

Conservatives have always felt that a smaller government was better since the founding of the USA. That was in the eighteenth century, well before late night TV show antics were invented. Conservatism is one side of American politics that has always been there, and it is not promoting anarchy, but rather a smaller government. This is simply a continuation of those ideas by people who feel the government is getting too big, which is something the founding fathers themselves tried to prevent.

You may have no state or local income tax, but your sales tax rate is 10% or more in some citites/counties. I have relatives who live there. Also Tenn. is one of only 3 states that doesn't follow the federal guidelines for "Gift Tax". You must pay when you inherit something, and you must pay again if you give it away to someone. That's Absurd !! But your state is beautiful !!
