I think you all are being closed minded. I think Ashanti did great!! I mean not so much acting obviously, but she's not a trained musical theatre actress! I think the whole reason they asked her to do it was to have some variety. It was musical theatre style music but she has a pop voice so they just wanted to mix it up. And guys, this anniversary was like a fun little celebration, not a competition... chill out, she's not gonna play elphaba so stop whining.

i like stephanie! this is my first time watching her and her voice is AMAZING. omg ashanti is a TOTAL FAILURE she has absolutely NONE of the talent and emotion and training that the other performers do. she totally butchered defying gravity! i was almost in tears :(
